The gap between the rich and the poor was at it's all time highest during this period and the rich had no idea how hard it was to find food to eat or even warmth. Poverty has been one of the biggest battles human kind will ever fight and it's not an issue to us because the rich "cant" help. When Ebola and ISIS were worldwide crisis' everyone panicked but Ebola was fixed with treatment but only Americans were cured because in Africa they did not have the money.
