Gun Violence (Blog # 6)

when the conversation about guns is brought up everybody has their own opinions, some people believe guns are needed in this world to keep people or themselves safe in case of an emergency, others believe guns cause nothing but deaths and we would be better off without them. my opinion is that we should not ban guns in the country but we should take in to consideration the people were giving guns too,  its way to easy to get a gun you just have to answer a few simple questions which i believe is ridiculous.people can argue for days about gun control or gun violence but statistics do show that gun violence has been on the rise in the past few years and seems as it will continue to get worse.
More then 30 people are shot and murdered each day and around 30,000 people are killed a year by firearms. Half of them are between the ages of 18 to 35 and one third are under the age of twenty. i bet you didn't know homicide was the second leading cause of death between ages 15-25 and the primary cause of death among African Americans of that age group. The highest gun death rate is in louisiana and the lowest gun death rate is in NY.CT,RI,MA,NJ (Heedingsgodscall.org). The statistics shown above are quite scary i didn't realize there were that many deaths per years from firearms.
After looking at those statistics some people may immediately say this why guns should be banned but then again the U.S has an estimated 283 millions guns in civilians hands so that means millions of people are just using guns for self protection if they are ever put in a situation where they feel it is needed. after doing the research on gun violence i had learned much more then i had before.
