Rotunda Project Blog Response

The above picture is an incredible representation of poverty on Long Island. By using and color coordinating tacks on a foam board cut into the shape of Long Island, we are able to clearly see what stage of poverty people are in on certain areas of the island. I think that this project was a very good representation of these scary statistics because it is shown so simply, yet clearly, making it very easy to understand. This project just goes to show how many people on Long Islabd really are struggling, considering it is the most expensive place to live. I think this also puts the misconception of everyone on Long Island being rich, to sleep. This project is a good way to show us and our peers, classmates, colleagues, etc, that you really never know what somebody else is going through, and they may need our help, so we should try and assist them in any way that we can.
