Blog Entry #2

This cartoon depicts the idea that training foreign rebels is useless and that, no matter what their cause is, ISIS boils down to pure evil.
Obama's plan to spend a TRILLION tax dollars to train Syrian and Iraqi rebels is not only absurd and unconstitutional but complete rubbishness. No matter how similar their training is to the American military, they will never succeed. To be honest, I don't really know why, and it doesn't matter except for the fact that they seem to either turn the weapons around on us or coward in fear, when in direct combat with ISIS. As seen in the image above, some of the rebels that we "train" end up fighting for the other side because of the control ISIS has over them, fear. Which suddenly reminds me of the poem we read in class on Thursday, Dulce et decorum est by Quintus Horatius Flaccus, because of the cowardice act of running away while in battle. Not only will death chase you if you run, but it will also haunt your allies, or in this case former allies.
I think everyone agrees that we must put an end to this satanic group, but training Syrian and Iraqi rebels will not do the job. Ponder the thought that every war America has won we won it ourselves, we did not have anyone fight for us. So why then would we treat this one differently? America's security is at hand and if we don't act at once we just might succumb to the cancerous ISIS.
