Is War Eternal?

Ever since the age of the cavemen there has been conflict between humans.  A variation of opinion, a want for something someone else has, a miscommunication; all are roots of conflict and lead to disputes and violence between humans.  Throughout our history humans have always had conflicts with each other and some conflicts escalate into war.  One common question that we pose is if humans will ever stop waging war on each other.  Will we ever live in peace and harmony?  It is hard to say.

In the early years of human history, violence and war was waged using man to man combat and anything that people could find, mainly sticks and rocks.  As we progressed as a species, so did our methods of war.  We began to manipulate our surroundings
to create spears and eventually bows and arrows.  Swords came around, guns replaced bows, explosives were introduced and soon enough we started dropping bombs on each other.  Humans invent more and more and unfortunately as our technology  advances, so do our weapons and our capabilities of war.

Despite the differences in the violence of humans throughout the centuries, our motives have always been due to differences in opinions or ideas.  With countless religions, languages, philosophies and ideas, there will always be differences in our opinions and therefore conflict.  As long as there are any differences in us a species there will be conflict and sometimes war, something that is unavoidable in a world of such diversity.
