When Kurtz was dying he said these words to Willard after Willard stabbed him. Kurtz said these words because he wanted to inform Willard of the evil that can be found in people. The power of war can transform people to be someone they are not. Everyone has evil inside them and war can bring that evil out. I believe Kurtz was trying to tell Willard to get out of the mischeif of war
