This image dictates a popular belief and stereotype that "all Hispanics are illegal". This image shows the truth of the scenario through satire. Although it is true that there are many illegal Mexican immigrants in our country, to assume that ALL Hispanic people are illegal is a racist view that unfortunately does exist today. Now, it is not necessarily that anyone believes that all Hispanics are illegal, however the fact that many people share a common suspicion of anyone Hispanic is not only wrong and unjust, but sends a horrible message about American values and our judgmental nature as a nation. This image perfectly depicts the common "American" notion of illegals because anyone looking singularly at the top half of this drawing would immediately think that the Hispanic was the illegal immigrant, despite the fact that many illegal Canadians also exist, and pose the same problems as illegal Mexican immigrants. Unfortunately racism exists in the world today, and although we can't necessarily hope to rid ourselves of it, we can all push to lessen it's presence.
